I like Mitt. The reasons why...
- Charisma. He's got it. Like Reagan, this man has it. He's got a twinkle in his eye. Listen to him talk. Really Listen. He INSPIRES people. He's inspired me. This is my first ever blog, or any activism I've done politically.
- Business savvy
. He's a turnaround champion. He's got a long history of turning a bad situation into something to be proud of. He's turned around failing companies, Olympics, MA budget deficits. Universal Health Care (in MA). His touch is golden.
- Leadership. It takes more than just a good idea. Everybody has an opinion and your never going to please everybody. Mitt is special. He can get people to agree on common ground and get ACTION. Politions are a dime a dozen. Real LEADERS are rare. Don't let them get marginalized.
- Vision. He sees a bright future for America. This isn't a talking points bulletin. Question him. This isn't the talk of handlers coaching him. He sees it and believes it. like Reagan in '80- America is ridiculed by most of the world and mistrusted. America has lost some innocence - we NEED a visionary to restore our belief in ourselves - just
like Ronny gave us.
- Guts. Romney has been dogged his whole life by the "Mormon question" I'm sure it's not easy growing up Mormon and having EVERYBODY ridicule your religious beliefs. Has he wilted? Every interview he has to defend himself. Every decision brings extra scrutiny. You think that might have toughened him up some? I don't want a wimpy president - I don't even necessarily want a boy-scout for president. World politics isn't always nice. We have to be mature about that. I want a tough guy with good character that makes good decisions and has vision. It just so happens that Mitt has these qualities and agrees with my views on abortion, gays, military strength, healthcare, deficit spending, family values etc.
